Panda Cotton This very soft cotton-bamboo elastic yarn that has come out from Crystal Palace Yarns (check out their site for free download sock patterns for this yarn at www.straw.com) is soft and perfect for socks or, if you're up for fine knitting, a baby sweater or summer top. Made of 55% bamboo, 24% cotton and 21% elastic, it won't droop and loose its elasticity the way many cotton sock yarns do and the bamboo content adds softness, comfort (bamboo wicks dampness away from the body) and bamboo's natural antibacterial characteristics. It is not quite as stretchy as either Breeze or Fixation and is a finer gauge if you're looking for a lighter weight sock. Each 50 gr sk features 170 yd.! Gauge 6-7 sts/in US 1-2 needles.
