Misti Handpaint Chunky Alpaca
This chunky alpaca is perfect for a cowl.....cozy, soft, and colorful...it will keep the chill off your neck, is soft enough for even the most sensitive skin, and offers a punch of color that is just what you want in an accessory! The cowl shown below took 2 skeins and double around the neck (photo right on a hanger) or once around the neck and once over the head. The last photo shows a single skein cowl (in color 100) that is a variation on the Spiraling Banana Cowl I did up a couple of years ago that was so popular!
I also decided this yarn would be soft and warm as a hat. But because alpaca tends to grow and not hold it's shape very well, I chose a stitch that gives the hat structure! I've always loved this stitch in variagated yarns because of the way the fabric looks almost woven. The Misti Weaving Hat Pattern is free with the yarn purchase or you can purchase it on Ravelry.
Available in 6 new handpainted colorways, each 100 gm skein has 110 yards and is recommended knit at 3.5 sts/inch on US 10-10.5.
