Malabrigo Merino Mecha

This 100% merino wool is superwash and recommended knit anywhere from 2.75 - 3.25 sts/inch. It features the beautiful dyed colors of Malabrigo and is as soft as the worsted (and also a "singles" like the worsted), but it does not pill so readily as the worsted!

The kids hoodie shown below is knit in Cereza and is a pattern from the new Malabrigo Nino book - also available- which has great patterns for that young tween age group that can be difficult to find good patterns for!

Just as a reminder of how important it is to get enough yarn when you are purchasing any of the kettle dyed yarns (Ella Rae, Malabrigo, Koigu, Araucania, etc) , I have posted a photo of the same color (vulcan) of this yarn in 2 different dyelots! The photo shows the current lot of Vulcan (left) and the last lot of Vulcan (right). They were/are both beautiful, but one is much more orange and the other much more green!

The hat shown below took just 1 skein.

The newest kids model shown below features a nice kangaroo pocket (blue/grey stripes) for kids. I'm kind of thinking I want a sweater with a kangaroo pouch too!

As of 10/27/16, we have some additional colors in stock but I haven't had a chance to photograph them yet.

We also stock the Rios worsted, Arroyo d.k., Rasta chunky and sock weights which you can access thru the "Other Malabrigo Yarns" link above.

Each skein has 130 yards. Price per skein: $14.99
