Kiri is the most recent yarn from Noro that I've started stocking. It features 45% silk, 43% wool and 12% mohair and a fine guage that I thought would be popular for shawls and transitional season sweaters for the spring/fall.
Each skein has a whopping 382 yards in it .
It is recommended knit at 5.5 - 6.5 sts/inch in a US 3-5.
The poncho/wrap pattern shown below is free with the 2 skeins it takes to knit it. The poncho/wrap pattern is a simple mistake rib - easy to knit and just a rectangle with no shaping! You could knit it blindfolded!
The 3/4 sleeved brioche stitch sweater with built in cowl for a dramatic neckline that is fun to play with (or pull it up over your head on a windy day), is a pattern from one of the recent Noro Magazines. It took 3 balls each of two colors (tho' I barely went into the 3rd balls of each color so I have enough now to knit either a large wrap like the green poncho by alternating rows or I can make several nice cowls for gifts with what I have left over! Anyway, I will send the magazine free with a 6 skein order - lots of other fun projects included in it! p.s. I used colors 11 and 1 in the brioche sweater.
