This lovely alpaca/cotton (57%/43%) blend yarn is soft and lightweight.
It is recommended knit at 5.5-6 st/inch and each ball has 131 yards.
Because it has a bit of a halo, the knitted fabric feels soft and cozy and the fibers "fill in" the stitch a bit allowing you the flexibility of knitting at a larger gauge that looks good.
The sweater shown in the right sidebar features some lovely textured stitch in the body and a small yoked colorwork design - just enough of both to keep you interested and engaged without feeling either is too tedious! The trouble will be picking 3 colors for the yoke design there are so many great options.
The hat took 1.5 sks - there was plenty left to make a really generous pompom, but I found a fake fur pom pom that I really liked, so if you want to skip the pom pom altogether (or use a commercial pom pom as I did), then with 3 sks, you could knit 2 hats!
The colors used are 101 for the body and the contrasts are 112, 123, 119 and 109
