Needle Felting Hat Forms These high density, specially designed hat forms are perfect for needle felting hats. Three pieces are available; brim, high dome, and low dome. I use the high dome for pillbox, earflap and rolled edge hats. I use the low dome in combination with the brim for brimmed hats. The forms stand up well to continued use and can even get wet (in case you want to add a final wet surface finish to the hat). I only have women's sizes in stock right now, but will be getting men's and children's in the future. None of the hats shown below took me more than 75 minutes to complete. The two hats on the right I did a quick 5 minute wet felt to at the very end (included in the 75 minute time frame!) just because the purple hat is in a fine merino which showed the needle marks too much for my taste and because the charcoal grey one had mohair in it which had too much of a "halo" without the final wet finish. You'll need a multi needle tool to do these efficiently. I used the 12 needle tool on them. The left most hat is corriedale; the white pillbox is cotswold; the charcoal is mohair blend and the last one is merino. Afraid to try it on your own? We've got a class scheduled for the fall.
