This adjustable hat block form is made from cherry or poplar wood (shown). It is easily adjustable from 19" to 24" circumference (size 6 - 8 hat). Lightweight but sturdy. Whether you knit and full hats or use traditional wet felting techniques, The Blockhead works great for shaping and sizing your finished product. Maintenance requires only annual waxing with a good quality furniture wax, or even a car wax, both of which will maintain the seal and water resistant surface without leaving a residue on your felt. Although the photo of the prototype doesn't show it, an inch scale will be branded into the base of each future Blockhead right alongside the adjustment groove so that you can quickly see where to adjust the block for any given hat size you wish.
