To access the videos and blog for the Felt Boot or other of my online workshops, you must have a gmail account.

A gmail email account is free and takes only a few minutes to set up thru Google. And you must be able to access the account thru Chrome or Mozilla - regular IE does not work consistently. So be sure you use either Chrome or Mozilla before you register. I do not refund once I have set someone up to see the videos and access the blog.

To create a gmail email account:

1) go to http://google.com

2) in the upper right hand corner of this page, you will see a button that says "sign in"

3) click on this and it takes you to a page that says Accounts front and center

4) on this page, it says "sign in or create an account for free" You want to click on "create an account for free"

5) You will be asked for the following information:

to enter your first and last name (it doesn't have to be real, but whatever you choose here, I have to be told so I can invite you to the blog)

you have to pick a username which will become your gmail account, just like mine is northeastfiberarts@gmail.com - and you will need to send my your username

pick a password (do not send this to me, but be sure you will remember it so you can log into the blog and youtube videos)

you will be asked to enter your date of birth and gender -this info google requires or it won't let you register for an account

you will be asked to enter a mobile phone- this is not required by google, so you can ignore it

next, you must prove you are not a robot and so must type into the window the scrambled letters they show you....since I have a hard time reading these sometimes, I hit the circular arrow there and it will give me a new one to read...ultimately I can usually read it...be sure to type it is exactly as you see it

lastly it asks you to accept their terms so be sure to check this box.

6) once you have filled in that information, it will take you to a page that shows your profile...if you want to post a photo here you can, but it is not necessary.

You're done setting up a gmail email address.

NOW....remember that you need to provide me with this gmail address when you register for the Felt Boot Online class!
